Australian Masters Games 2003
Canberra - 30+ Women.

Our team consisted of Cheryl, Deanne, Lisa, Lyn,
Rossy - and we welcomed Nadia Tkaczuk - Geelong
State League and Geelong Representative and Sally
Yeomans - Bellarine/Geelong player. We had a
terrific 1st game against our old rivals - Belles. We won
the game playing inspired volleyball that had us working
well as a team with all players making a significant
contribution. Our other games went to plan and we finished
on top of our pool. This time we knew we had crossovers
scheduled and came up against Sydney Tigers who had
finished 2nd in their pool. It was a bit of a bun fight
and we were unable to counter their attack - we lost 0-2,
which put us into the Bronze medal playoff. We came
up against Junior Moos, and had a terrific win with all
players working well together - we won 2-0 and the
Bronze medal!

Phantoms MVP - Winner: Vera Rava - R/Up: Lisa Krahe
3rd: Lyn Edlich.
