Our team was Cheryl, Corrina, Irene, Lisa, Lyn,
Nadia - and we welcomed Kellie Brakevic - Mornington/Beach
player. We had a tough group of teams in Div 1 including
a USC Lion team from Adelaide. We played really well
but did not make the final - finishing 3rd to the teams
from Bendigo/Judea, and USC Lion Adelaide.

Australian Volleyball Masters 2004
Townsville - 35+ Women.

We made the transition to 35+ for the first time in
Masters with Anne, Cheryl, Irene, Lisa - and we
welcomed Debbie McSwain - Renegades Div 1 State
League player, Julie Dew - Bellarine/Geelong Representative,
Michelle Lebbos - Bellarine/Geelong Representative &
Rosemary Bissett - Renegades Div 1 State League player.
All Women's teams were pooled together with 1 team in
30+, and 3 in 35+. A high standard group of teams and
unfortunately we did not win a game, including Lisa
sustaining a knee injury after Saturday - but we came
away with 3rd place. Still - a good time was had by all in
sunny North Queensland!

Mornington Victorian Open 2004 - Honours Women.

We entered ourselves in Honours and had a terrific
tournament - and the first time we had a group of players
who had all played with Phantoms before! Cheryl, Deanne,
Lisa, Lyn, Nadia, Sue & Vera! We played very consistently
and came up against Eastside Hawks in our last game
which was to decide who would play Mornington in the
final. A high standard game which found Eastside winning
in the end, a very hard fought match - we finished a
hard fought 3rd.

Bendigo Dragon City 2004 - Div 1 Women.

We had a terrific team with Cheryl, Corrina, Deanne,
Kylie, Lisa, Nadia, Rosemary, Sue & Vera. Our team played
well and finished 2nd after the rounds and beating
Bendigo's Judea in a terrific game in which we dominated.
We came up against Camberwell Cobras in the final and
played the best we could against "pretty much" an Honours
State League team - we finished Runners-up.

Horsham 2004 - Div 1 Women.

A good solid team with Cheryl, Corrina, Kylie, Lisa, Lyn,
Rosemary - and we welcomed Jessica Kuklych - daughter
of Anne, Bellarine Representative and Maree Bibby
Mornington Honours State League player. We played
good games throughout the tournament ending up - yes
you guessed it - playing Burgercons in the final. We
couldn't match them losing 1-3 in a reasonable game.
Aaron & Lisa both came away with the MVP honours for
Men's & Women's Division 1 respectively - it must have
been rigged!
